Beatles - Rock Band

Well I feel that is only right if I post a quick tid-bit about today's worldwide release of the new Rock Band - Beatles Edition. By far the largest most publicized release of the Rock Band franchise. As an all time Guitar Hero fanatic, I have never spent 60 bucks on a Rock Band game. Spending many hours playing Rock Band with friends, I can say that it is overall a good game and definitely worth all of the hype. Guitar Hero is the best simulation of musical instruments out there today. Most people debate the song lists between the two franchises has been the biggest purchasing decision for gamers. As we all know, getting rights to the songs for the companies are getting much easier now that the worldwide gaming sensation of musical simulation has exploded. Record companies and bands are realizing how much they can benefit from being on the play lists of these video games. The Beatles are a classic and one of the greatest bands in history. Contracting with them has, in my mind, saved the franchise. With the release of Guitar Hero 5 thrown in the mix, Rock Band now has the answer to GH's dominating sales in games throughout the world.
